The short film Sirocco, directed by Mikko Kuparinen, won the prize for best fiction film at Artova Film Festival last weekend. The short film festival was held fourth time this year. The winners of Artova Film Festival will be screened also at Helsinki International Film Festival Love and Anarchy this month.

These were jury’s thoughts about the film: “Atmospheric, solid and cinematic experience with a whole and unique universe.”

Sirocco’s main role is played by actress Eeva Putro, and the film is based on Tuuve Aro’s short story Merkki (2006).
